Spring 06
- Spring was short this year, it was in the 90's already by April and there's been little rain. We're just starting into June and it's a struggle to keep things alive in the garden and yard. Jackson was all fired up this year when it came working outside. Everyday when we'd get home, he say, "we work the garden now?" We've done some landscaping and moved a truck load of plants and bulbs out to the front of the house. We also put in a good sized garden in back. Jack of course wanted to help with everything. We've got a few odd flowers here and there that don't quite match those around them. He picked them out at the store and told us where he wanted them. He doesn't like any of the things in the garden so he's kinda lost interest in that. We boxed in a smaller area and put in strawberry plants for him. Lately, he's not interested in berries either so the birds are eating more than he his. Also, after all the time we spent outside previously, now I can hardly get him out of the house. Kids are funny creatures.

Fall/Winter 05/06
- Where does the time go? Wasn't it summer just yesterday? Well, it was 75 degrees here yesterday - not bad for mid February! This year Jackson's at the age where he seems to really understand what's going on and how life works. He was excited and ready to go trick-or-treating, whereas before he just sort of went through the motions. He still doesn't like most of the candy but he has fun getting it! Christmas was fun too. He wanted to help decorate the house. He got double doses of the holidays and birthdays this year. We had two Thanksgiving feasts with different relatives, then had Christmas and his birthday here and again in Indiana with Dean's Mom. His birthday party was a big affair. Last year we had a pony, this year we rented a huge jumping gym. All the kids had a good time. Since his party, life has quieted down around here. It has been cold and blah a good bit this winter and we haven't felt like getting out and about much. He's always asking to go back to the beach or to a playground. Once it warms up again, I'm sure he'll drive us crazy about both.

Summer 05
- Jackson's grown in more ways than just size the last few months. He's got quite the personality and definitely knows what he likes and doesn't hesitate to tell you what he doesn't. He get's along well socially with all his friends at daycare and talks often about his pal Conner who moved back to Texas. He had a lot of fun with his big brother and sister when then came to visit, it was like they were never separated. He's already at the age where he doesn't want to pick up after himself but he still likes to help us out when we're doing things around the house or in the yard. He has his good days and bad days like anyone else but all, he's a great kid.

March 05
- We're all looking forward to spring. Jack's been helping out with yard work and picking out flowers to plant.

Winter 04/05
- We've had a pretty mild winter this year, only frosted a couple of times. They take the kids out near end of day at the daycare center so Jack often comes home with rosey cheeks from the cold. The holidays were lots of fun. We had family and friends over and Jackson was the center of attention as always. He loves the puppy he got for Christmas. They play and sleep together all the time. Jack took a fall in December and split his lip open but it hasn't slowed him down any. His birthday party was a hit this year. All the kids loved riding on the pony.

Fall 04
- Fall has been mild so far. Jack's just started wearing mostly long pants the last couple of weeks and even a jacket sometimes in the morning. We've spent a lot of time working in the new yard and Jackson helps out by gathering sticks and pine cones. Jack dressed up as Clifford the big red dog for Halloween and did a complete circuit of the neighborhood. He made quite a haul, it ought to last for months. Curiously, he doesn't seem to like chocolate, so you can guess who had a nice bag of goodies to eat at work.

Summer 04
- It was a hot summer here in SC and Jack spent the whole time in shorts and tanks. Keeping shoes on him is near impossible. As many times as we have to put his shoes back on every day, velcro and zipper shoes are the only way to go. His vocabulary has grown tremendously over the summer and he talks, talks, talks all the time. Jack had no problems with moving to our new house. All the packing and boxes everywhere didn't faze him a bit...he didn't even ask about it, but when we'd tell him we were moving and he'd get real animated and start saying "new house", "new house".

Spring 04
- Jackson's had his share of bumps, scrapes and runny noses these past few months but he's no worse for wear. He's becoming quite the independent young man. HE wants to put on his socks, HE wants to put the DVD in the machine, HE doesn't want it unless HE can hold it himself! Fortunately, HE still wants hugs and kisses.

January 04
- Shortly after his 2nd birthday, Jack got to advance to the next level at his daycare facility. He's still not real happy about leaving his old familiar room and his friends. There are all sorts of new things to do and explore where he is now and that should help him adjust to his new environment quickly.

December 03
- Jackson was in hog heaven this month. All of his Grandparents came for both Christmas and his birthday.

November 03
- Jackson is talking a mile a minute but we still can't understand most of what he says.

October 03
- Jack made the trip to Indiana with little complaint. He had fun playing with his Grandma and Great Grandma.

September 03
- Not much went on this month aside from a trip or two to Georgia. Jack has adjusted well to daycare and seems to be having a great time.

August 03
- We've taken Jack to the beach and to waterfront park. He's had fun exploring his new home.

- Jackson started daycare this month and seems to be having a great time with the other kids.

July 03
- While we traveled cross country, Jackson got to stay with his Grandparents in Georgia. He and they had a great time together.
