Easter was a big event this year. We and the Aiena's took the kids to the egg hunt at Waterfront Park, which unfortunately had more people than eggs.
We also had the Aiena's and the Albiero's over for Easter dinner and another egg hunt at our house. The dinner went well but a big storm dumped over 3 inches of rain on us right before Easter so we had to move the egg hunt indoors.

Jack wouldn't go any closer to that guy in a suit.
One evening while Angela was away, I was in the kitchen fixing dinner when Jackson came in with a half empty pot to tell me, "It fell down and made a mess". He loves flowers so we and his Grandparents had both got him some potted ones and they had been sitting on his little table in the living room. I took one look and went to get the camera. When I came back, he was kneeling near it watching TV. He started to get up but I told him to hold still while I took the picture. Instead, he assumed the position you see, which couldn't have been more perfect.

April was a busy month for birthday parties. We've certainly had our fill of cake and ice cream lately.
Catie's 1st Birthday
Maddie's 1st Birthday
Noelle's 3rd Birthday

Angela and Jackson were at her parents house on St. Patrick's Day and went to watch the St. Mary's parade.

There's Susan giving her version of the "screwing in a light bulb" wave.

One of Dean's favorite hobbies (no, not sleeping!) has come under fire here in South Carolina. Ignorant locals and Lawmakers are working diligently to all but ban the sport of Geocaching in this State. Numerous letters have been written, calls have been made and testimonials given in front of the House Judiciary Committee but it appears we may lose the battle. Each time the Bill comes up for discussion in the House, there are a slew of Representatives that argue and contest it but it just won't die. People all over the world have been watching the proceedings online and are appalled by the outright falsehoods being slung around in an attempt to sway other Reps to their side.
Our local paper ran an Editorial on the subject when all this got started. As things began to look bleak, Dean managed to get this
Commentary published. Several other people from around the State and even from other countries have sent in Letters to the Editor but they have refused to publish them.
The whole matter just sickens me.

As mentioned in the last Gazette, Angela attended a retreat on Fripp Island with all her scrapbooking friends. They worked hard and had a great time.

There was another birthday party in April, the 29th to be exact. Alexander turned 12 this year! Gosh I'm old.
