CHRISTMAS
curious

Christmas was a true family event this year. Dean's Mom and Grandma drove down from Indiana and Angela's parents and sister came up from Georgia. The house got a little small for a couple of days but it was great having everyone there.

EVENTS

Return of the King

We were two of the many millions who have waited all year to see the final chapter of the Lord of the Rings. It was a project they said could never be done. It took thousands of people seven years of work to bring this story to the big screen. It's a huge success and an achievement unlikely to be equaled in my lifetime.

SIGHTSEEING
Hunting Lighthouse

Knowing my Grandmother's love of lighthouses, the first place we went to see was the light on Hunting Island. It was a nice warm day and Jack had fun running around in the old compound.

While my folks were here, we also took the tour of historic Beaufort, the Gullah History tour of St. Helena's Island and visited the Sheldon Church ruins again.

FAMILY FUN

At Waterfront Park, Beaufort

December was a busy but enjoyable month. Jackson got to spend lots of time with all his Grand Parents and his Aunt SueSue.

At Robe Ann Park, Greencastle

The weather has been great and we've all been able to get out and about instead of being cooped up in the house like we most likely would have been in Washington.

TRAVEL

Dean's leave has just about run out. He found out he made the list of potentials for the job he's been waiting on at the Marine Airstation. Unfortunately, they won't be doing interviews until sometime in January. So, he's going to have to return to his job in Washington until he either gets interviewed and hired or until something else comes along. Even if he does get hired and has to turn around and come back, it won't be a wasted trip because he'll get to spend some time with his kids out there.
